    This position will be responsible for defining the Asset Management requirements in a collaborative manner to create, design and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMS) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).   This position will be required to lead the creation of processes and procedures for the life-cycle management of all technology assets (hardware, software, licenses, domains and certificates).




    • Proactively identifies mediums for ensuring that weekly, and monthly statistics, status reports, and other reporting requests are maintained and available as requested.
    • Establishes and maintains the budget, guidelines and standards for IT assets within the organization.
    • Maintains a high level customer focus by mitigating risks and maximizing value associated with IT assets in the organization.
    • Coordinates with mergers, acquisitions and other departments as they interact with the IT assets in the organization.
    • Manages all tracking of inventory of IT assets within the organization ensuring that each are properly identified and be accounted for at all times.
    • Perform periodic review and evaluation of all employees, managing necessary performance issues, training requirements, as necessary for the development of individual resources as a team.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Creates and manages repeatable processes within each of the Key Process Areas of the program to ensure goal achievement, maximum value and minimal risk for the organization. Develop processes and procedures to track and maintain all hardware/software and contracts for the corporate & regional offices, including international & data centers.
    • Develop and drive a program to close the gap between 'current state' and 'desired state' of the Global Asset Management function.
    • Assist procurement in identifying, coordinating and maximizing the value of vendor relationships as it relates to the IT assets within the organization.
    • Assist in audit and response processes for software licenses to ensure Blackhawk is managing risk regarding license compliance and reducing and/or avoiding software costs where possible.
    • Produce asset forecasting reports / schedules to aid in the technology plans e.g. Asset approaching end of life, license renewal etc.
    • In conjunction with the various support teams track and report the value and ownership of financial assets throughout their lifecycle.
    • Researches, comprehends and communicates regulatory and legislative issues as related to IT assets in the organization.
    • Ensure customer service excellence by monitoring tickets and reviewing customer feedback on IT Asset Management process and procedures.
    • Establish working schedules, manage time off to ensure appropriate coverage for operating workloads and task allocations in accordance with contractual requirements.
    • Develop an understanding of how the IT Services that currently exist can be uniquely applied to the customer base and IT Asset Management functions.
    • Develop an understanding of the unique technology requirements that exist within the business unit(s) advocating for solutions and enhancements that meet the need of the business.
    • Drive and manage the Continual Improvement Plan for Asset Management.
    • Prepare presentation summaries and reports to executive teams as needed.
    • Drive enterprise wide licensing programs to reduce overall cost.
    • Effectively interact and communicate with business partners.



    • 8 years IT experience with at least 5+ years as a Technical Asse Asset Manager.
    • 3 + years of experience tracking software licenses, IT hardware assets and maintaining an IT asset repository.
    • Strong Project management skills with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
    • Certification or strong background with at least one type of automated inventory software great to have.
    • Solid understanding of basic network topologies including storage area networks, servers and workstations in a multi-domain Windows and Lynx networked environment.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Background in Information Technology or closely related technology field.
    • Must have excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
    • Experience with ServiceNow, Discovery or automation tools preferred.
    • IAITAM certified, CITAM preferred
    • Excellent attention to detail.
