    Overview:

    We are looking for an experienced Business Operations Analyst to join our team reporting into the Chief of Staff – Technology / Sr. Director Technology Business Operations. This individual will be a key player in managing the data, analytics and reporting aspects that power the financial & operational processes for the technology team.

     

    We’re searching for a go-getter who is proactive, an eager and quick learner, has strong technical & analytical skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, but above all has the ability to use their skills and business acumen to translate data into decisive and actionable recommendations for various internal technology, business & support teams, as well as directly to strategic partners/clients. Ability to challenge information, processes, and to think outside the box to solve problems and to streamline the flow of information is critical.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with Corporate Finance to prepare and manage annual financial budgets quarterly forecasts, monthly actuals and variance analysis for the technology organization, with Accounting to allocate technology costs to the right projects, with HR to track and manage technology headcount, with Procurement to review and manage technology 3rd party agreements/ engagements/ spend, with Legal & Compliance to ensure that applicable regulatory directives are complied with e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, Privacy legislation, etc., with Tax & Audit to support periodic internal and external audits from technology
    • Work closely with the Program Management, technology teams and leadership to support strategic planning, build out and manage the technology investment plans by initiatives, resource allocations and budgets by products
    • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams & external customers to analyze information needs; Build and distribute automated dashboards, visualizations and data models to summarize key business, financial & operational insights and KPIs
    • Provide adhoc modeling, analyses and reporting for technology leadership team
    • Synthesize & analyze data from multiple sources and summarize them into presentations for Sr. Management reviews
    • Manage strategic projects, trouble shoot, solve business operations problems as they occur in a timely manner and streamline processes as required

    Qualifications:

    • High-energy, positive team player, passion to continuously learn, thrive in a fast paced environment
    • Top-notch communication and presentation skills. Able to synthesize complex analytic results, present key findings in compelling visual formats, and communicate them effectively to a broad audience including senior management
    • In-depth knowledge & extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite required (Advanced Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
    • Exceptional data management/technical skills. Highly proficient in Excel and SQL, and familiarity with basic statistical concepts are prerequisites. Experience building data models to generate insights and disseminating information through data visualization (Microstrategy, Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
    • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects with shifting priorities – play a wide variety of roles to get the job done. Proven organizational skills with attention to detail a must
    • Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations
    • Experience working cross-functionally to drive projects and execute strategies
    • BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field strongly preferred
    • 5+ years of relevant experience working with real-world data in a top-tier consulting firm, business operations or fast-growing startup/technology company
