    Overview:

    Blackhawk Network is looking for a rockstar Social Media Manager to oversee the company’s social media accounts for its US B2B and B2C brands. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, and working closely with Blackhawk’s other marketing leads, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing Blackhawk’s social media strategy, and driving growth and engagement across all of Blackhawk’s social media accounts.

     

    The ideal candidate will be able to whip up fresh and compelling posts, professional-looking graphics and original video content, and communicate on behalf of Blackhawk’s brands in creative, engaging and on-brand way. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial and collaborative environments, and can effectively manage multiple deliverables and deadlines across a variety of business units.

    With Blackhawk’s large combined reach with a variety of audiences and purposes for each of its social media channels, this role is perfect for someone who wants to grow their career by leading company efforts to increase both followership and engagement for Blackhawk and its respective business units.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
    • Develop brand personality for each of the organization’s social media channels
    • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency. This may also include working with multiple business units and agency partners to drive social channel strategy and execution to amplify lead gen, sales enablement and communications campaigns
    • Monitor customer reviews, communicate with followers, and respond to inbound customer queries in a timely and professional manner
    • Oversee social media accounts’ design and adherence to best practices (e.g. creative and properly-sized Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, blog layout, social images)
    • Suggest and implement new features and campaigns to develop brand awareness, like promotions and contests
    • Stay up-to-date with technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications and implement when appropriate
    • Oversee and maintain the organization’s social media policy, and ensure internal compliance as needed
    • Support the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications in developing and gathering content for the enterprise-wide internal communications newsletter
    • Provide the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications with support on public relations and communications projects as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Five years proven work experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably for both B2B- and B2C-facing brands
    • Experience in utilizing a social media listening and/or publishing platform (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
    • Excellent copywriting skills
    • Ability to develop creative content (text, image and video)
    • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo and other methods of measuring ROI
    • Familiarity with web design
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Exceptional multi-tasking skills
    • Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way and communicate ROI for business reporting
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn advertising platforms are required
    • BS in Marketing or relevant field
