    About Main Street Solutions:
    Main Street Solution’s is part of CashStar’s Velocity services focusing on in-store execution merchandising gift cards and various consumer product lines in multiple retailers in the US and Canada. We drive sales by packing out product, setting to plan-o-gram, reporting out-of-stock, placing shelf tags, conducting resets and installing new fixtures. We build relationships with Retail Management and provide customer’s shopping guidance of our product lines we merchandise.  We consistently deliver industry-leading results and value using sophisticated technology to drive sales and provide visibility at retail.
     
    Role Description:
     
    We are seeking a highly successful, passionate and results oriented Sales Professional to drive additional market adoption of Main Street Solutions’ in-store execution services to new clients as well as expand Main Street Solutions’ presence in existing accounts. Candidates who are highly driven and passionate about delivering value/revenue for their clients, and love a fast paced, exciting and rapidly evolving marketplace will find Main Street Solutions to be a great fit.
     
    The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing new client relationships with retailers and consumer product companies and selling Main Street Solutions’ to sales, marketing and merchandising decision makers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively engage merchandising, sales and marketing in-store execution decision makers at retail and other merchant prospects primarily in the gift card and consumer products, and other verticals to introduce Main Street Solutions’ products and solutions.
    • Lead prospecting and first contact sales efforts via a consultative selling process.
    • Expand market presence and revenue in assigned territory by adding new clients to the Main Street Solutions client list.
    • Maintain existing relationships with current clients in assigned territory and explore opportunities for Main Street Solutions to provide additional value.
    • Representing Main Street Solutions at regional or national industry events, i.e. Shop!, NRF, etc.

    Qualifications:

    Typical Experience and Qualifications:
     

    • 7-10+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally selling to sales, marketing and merchandising teams at retailers and consumer product companies.
    • Proven results in terms of closing first line business.
    • Strong existing network in the retail merchandising vertical and experience selling to high level contacts.
    • Experience selling a SaaS product. The Business Development Director must be comfortable fielding questions from a variety of stakeholders as our solutions include a mobility SaaS product to drive in-store results.
    • Industry experience in retail, in-store execution, consumer product sales, marketing or operations is highly desired.
    • Cross-functional team experience. Our Sales teams collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to drive new development and close deals.
    • Proven track record of exceeding quarterly and annual goals.
    • Ability to travel.
