    We are looking for a Senior Manager focused on U.S. Tax Planning / International Tax to join the Blackhawk tax team. This position will be based in our headquarters in Pleasanton, California, and reports to our Vice President of Tax and Treasury. The senior manager will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of U.S. international tax, including planning, mergers and acquisitions, and transfer pricing. The senior manager will also work with multi-functional teams across the organization in the US and overseas


    • Identify and resolve U.S. international tax issues related to Subpart F inclusions, GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, etc.;
    • Support tax planning strategies working with multi-functional teams across the organization and with tax advisors in the US and overseas;
    • Model tax impacts on planning strategies, transfer pricing changes and audit risks;
    • Manage international aspects of tax provision;
    • Support mergers and acquisitions; including integration activities;
    • Support the US tax audit team to resolve U.S. international tax and transfer pricing matters;
    • Support the global tax systems including Vertex related to international VAT and transaction taxes;
    • Conduct research on foreign VAT, GST and similar indirect tax regimes for internal business and financial customers;
    • Work to understand the complexity and nuance of foreign indirect tax regimes to support internal  planning and foreign country implementation projects;
    • Resolve tax authority notices and inquiries regarding indirect tax matters;
    • Monitor and analyze tax statutory, regulatory and case law developments and document impact on the Company; and
    • Work closely with Treasury team in support of Treasury operations.


    • Minimum of 8-12 years of broad international corporate tax experience.
    • Master's in Taxation (MST) or J.D. highly preferred.
    • Corporate and/or Big Four Accounting Firm experience preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels within organization.
    • Proven track record of project management and organization skills and must be able to multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently within a team environment
