     As a Sr. Strategic Product Manager you will be responsible for developing a new and exciting business line for Blackhawk Network. You will develop strategies to drive business goals based on analyzing brand and product performance and exploring trends and competitiveness in the marketplace, research and recommend new verticals and target markets as well as develop the go to market strategy for these new initiatives.


    This role will also play a big part in interacting with clients, including leading clients meetings, determining client needs and coordinating with technical product management to develop a roadmap strategy.  You will have an opportunity to interact with clients as well as all levels throughout Blackhawk; marketing, technical product management, legal, finance and accounting.


    • Develop a SME-level understanding of our prepaid card and offers products and overarching business goals.
    • Analyzes brand and product performance, competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace and develops strategies based on research and analysis.
    • Recommend new verticals and target markets and develop go to market strategy.
    • Defines key performance indicators to drive business profitability and growth; develops and implements tactics to improve KPI’s.
    • Defines acquisition/retention plans.
    • Influences operational process and policy issues in customer service, production, merchant partners, program implementation, finance and legal to manage product performance.
    • Provide point of view on annual sales plan development
    • Leads and participate in client meetings in person, via the phone, or Webex. Present solutions in a clear and cohesive way for clients. Demonstrates advanced business solution selling abilities. Interacts with all levels of client's management team.
    • Collaborate with technical product management, corporate sales, engineering, clients and other stakeholders as needed.
    • Work closely with the Technical Product Managers to understand the current features as well as any features planned for future release in order to provide clear information about product capabilities and timings to both clients and the Blackhawk Sales teams.
    • Support the sales efforts including occasional travel to meetings, presenting technical process flows and answering technical questions from the client. Sales support and presentations can also be done using Webex for both internal and external customer education.


    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
    • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or business development
    • Working knowledge of product development, management, marketing processes, financial statements and basic GAAP principals
    • Prior experience managing budgets, ROI of capital improvements and project leadership required.
    • Social Media experience preferred
    • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Presentation skills required.
    • Comfort presenting to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds ranging from novice to expert in order to ensure a meaningful discussion that moves the sales process forward
    • Highly self-directed and motivated.
    • Well-organized. Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize time.
    • Team player. Willing to do what is needed to help the team succeed and grow.
