Overview:

We are looking for a Director of Sales Operations to join our dynamic and growing Incentives division. In this role, you will be responsible for improving on sales effectiveness by enabling our Sales team to improve their close ratio at every phase of the sales process. In addition, you will be in charge of recommending process improvements so that the sales team can leverage and optimize their time on core sales activities and reduce administrative tasks on the reps. You will utilize Salesforce to manage initiatives and sales reporting for our organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales Leaders to design/implement sales reporting and KPIs to measure sales effectiveness and assess areas of improvement
  • Understand all the various administrative processes performed by the sales staff and other departments, and recommend ways to reduce lead-to-revenue timespan through: revised processes, shifting work load to other job functions, or technology solutions
  • Work with Marketing to design and conduct “loss reports” from key opportunities and recommend ways to improve our sales processes as a result of the learning
  • Responsible for all aspects of sales training
  • Work with Marketing to identify what sales tools are needed at every step of the sales process
  • Manage the CRM solution (currently Salesforce.com, and eventually Microsoft Dynamics) to optimize the sales process and reporting
  • Understand all aspects of the sales process for HI products including appropriate personas, sales stages, required support needed at each stage from marketing and other stakeholders
  • Assist in sales strategy for the organization overall, and for a given opportunity, using the insights gained from all the areas above
  • Work with Sales Leaders to optimize the sales organization/structure/compensation.
  • Recommend/manage short term incentive programs to drive specific sales behaviors.
  • Manage the “Voice of the Customer” (VOC) client satisfaction survey process and report on the outcome

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Business, Finance or role-related subject
  • 5-7 years of B2B software sales experience
  • 3-5 years of sales management experience
  • Experience with accurately managing the forecasting process, driving annual planning processes, and assisting with territory and account planning
  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge about Sales Methodology, Strategic Selling, and Sales Enablement
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills at all organizational levels required.
  • Highly self-directed and motivated.
  • Ability to excel and manage priorities in high pressure situations and with shifting priorities.
  • Strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time
