We are looking for a Community & Learning Specialist to join our growing Education team in Toronto, ON.


  • Acts as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations of our customer community and learning portals
  • Creates and executes sustainment plans to drive awareness, adoption, and ongoing usage of the community and learning portals
  • Partners with departments across the organization to assess and identify relevant content that encourages self-service support
  • Measures, monitors, and reports on the health and growth of the community and learning portals; analyzes results and designs necessary action plans/experiments to meet/exceed KPIs
  • Creates and manages an internal channel to report and escalate feedback to stakeholders
  • Designs, develops and delivers engaging learning experiences (live, on-demand, blended, social) that focus on recognition/engagement and Achievers software products
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to translate their knowledge into effective learning experiences for customers
  • Ensures learning content is up-to-date with the latest research in engagement/recognition and functionality of Achievers’ software



  • Post-secondary education in business, education, or a related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS company
  • Proven project and time management skills in an environment where you may be contributing to several projects simultaneously; maintain and regularly update multiple project schedules
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to quickly build strong partnerships and effectively communicate needs and challenges
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to achieve outcomes
  • Creative and practical thinker with an attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables
  • Competent presentation skills for online or classroom delivery


  • 2+ years’ experience managing an online community portal and/or a learning portal
  • 2+ years’ experience in instructional design / content development
  • Solid knowledge of adult learning principles and strategies for driving learner engagement and knowledge retention
  • Proficient with eLearning tools (i.e. Articulate, Captivate), video development software (i.e. Camtasia), audio editing software (i.e. Audacity), graphic design software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office
  • Experience applying design strategies informed by learning and behavioral sciences, instructional design and interaction/web/eLearning design principles
