Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and analytically-driven Director of Corporate Development to lead our M&A initiatives and drive inorganic growth opportunities. This senior-level role combines deep financial expertise with strategic thinking to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that align with our corporate objectives.

The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, managing complex deal processes from origination through post-merger integration. This position offers significant exposure to C-suite executives with direct impact on the company's strategic direction and growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Analysis & Deal Origination

  • Research and analyze opportunities in target market segments, developing comprehensive market assessments and maintaining a robust prospect database
  • Conduct strategic "buy vs. build" analyses and evaluate performance of existing business units to inform corporate strategy
  • Deliver insightful market intelligence and identify value-creation opportunities

Transaction Execution

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, valuations, and ad hoc analyses for potential acquisitions
  • Lead end-to-end M&A transaction management, coordinating seamlessly across multiple stakeholders including legal, finance, and business teams
  • Facilitate due diligence processes by coordinating with internal departments and managing information exchange with target entities

Post-Merger Integration

  • Spearhead post-merger integration initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deal realization
  • Monitor integration milestones and drive synergy capture to maximize transaction value

Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities with expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

Experience & Background

  • Corporate M&A or Investment Banking experience strongly preferred
  • Prior involvement in post-merger integration projects preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA preferred

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $151,360.00 to $204,350.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2025, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
