Overview:

The Blackhawk Network Compliance Department seeks a full-time Regulatory Compliance Analyst. We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial crime prevention risk assessment programs and have an analytical mindset. This position will be based at the local Blackhawk Network location and be part of the Blackhawk Network Compliance Team 

This role will directly support the Incentives Oversight team and focus on performing customer risk rating assessments and ongoing reviews. The individual will also take on various customer risk-related projects, which may include helping to build out or maintain departmental documentation and processes. A key part of the role involves conducting presentations to stakeholders on project statuses or existing controls, strengthening business partner relationships, and reviewing referrals submitted by business or compliance / risk team partners that highlight unusual or irregular customer behavior. You will be using your knowledge of the business and potential financial risks to work with business partners and clients on actioning appropriate next steps. This position requires someone who can think critically and creatively, identify solutions, and resolve issues effectively, all while maintaining strong and collaborative relationships across the business. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, resourceful, and detail oriented.

This is a Hybrid role out of our Coppell, TX office (Wednesdays & Thursdays in office).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform customer risk ratings, ongoing reviews, and assess referrals related to unusual or irregular customer behavior, providing clear decisions and recommended next steps. 
  • Verify the accuracy and authenticity of provided information through various reliable sources, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines. 
  • Deliver presentations on control frameworks, project statuses, build strong relationships with business partners, and collaborate on identifying creative solutions while maintaining risk and compliance standards. 
  • Contribute to customer risk–related projects, assist in building and maintaining departmental documentation, and support process improvements. 
  • Experience in data analysis, and transactional review, with prior experience in higher risk due diligence and leverage that information to support investigations and decision-making. 
  • Maintain comprehensive Compliance records and create, implement, and maintain internal programs and procedures, ensuring they are accurately documented and accessible.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams by proactively identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders across the business, including compliance, legal, sales, etc., to address concerns, provide insights, and facilitate decision-making processes.  
  • Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices about FinTech procedures and implement essential changes or updates accordingly.  
  • Proactively find opportunities to enhance compliance processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency without compromising compliance standards. 
  • Complete compliance related projects, as assigned and develop/manage related reporting frameworks. 
  • Identify red flags, suspicious activity, investigate patterns/typologies, and recommend appropriate mitigations and/or solutions. 
  • Contribute to building scalable processes that support compliance and risk mitigation efforts. 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with KYB and AML
  • Bachelor’s degree is required 
  • Strong investigative and critical thinking skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent judgment, the ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision, and as a team player. Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting. 
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ownership 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a drive to deliver outstanding results. 
  • Organized with a keen eye and attention to detail. 
  • Experience in data analytics, fraud review, or compliance-related functions. 
  • Experience with customer due diligence, KYB, investigations, compliance and/or risk program execution. 
  • Ability to conduct enhanced due diligence and synthesize findings into clear recommendations. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Prior work experience in a compliance, audit, or risk analyst type of occupation is preferred. 
  • Professional certifications related to regulatory compliance or risk management (e.g., CAMS, CFE, etc.) are a plus, but not required 

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $57,530.00 to $74,800.00
