Overview:

You will be responsible for managing the sales and account management relationship for Blackhawk Network's distribution partners. Your primary objective is to own and grow these partnerships into successful & profitable distribution channels for Blackhawk.  You will spend most of his/her time meeting with and on the phone with clients and internal contacts. You will also provide sales and account management support on the development and administration of marketing programs and sales initiatives. Main areas of focus are account development, project management, and contract renewals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, grow, and develop assigned business-to-consumer accounts
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients at appropriate levels through daily contact
  • Serve as a critical point of contact for the client and liaison for Blackhawk Network. Represent the client’s interests to internal groups. Advocate for the client internally within Blackhawk Network
  • Set communication expectations with client, and drives appropriate communication according to mutual agreement/understanding and client needs
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Distribution Partners on contract renewals and financial models
  • Manage budgets for all assigned accounts
  • Accurately forecast annual and quarterly sales
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with Distribution Partners to discuss sales objectives, new content, and promotional opportunities
  • Work with Business Development team to add new content
  • Generate and analyze various reports to understand and identify sales trends and areas of opportunity
  • Create and deliver sales proposals or presentations
  • Manage the distribution and execution of various promotional programs into Distribution Partners
  • Drive execution of all sales initiatives for assigned Distribution Partners
  • Partner with Accounting/Settlement team to resolve any settlement and reconciliation issues and distribute commission schedules
  • Identify and mitigate risk issues in partnership with legal, compliance, and IT
  • Manage resets, merchandising, card orders and fixture launches
  • Routinely visit Distribution Partners, facilitate store level communications & conduct store visits
  • Serve as cross-functional liaison (internal/external) to execute initiatives

  • Proven ability to establish and build trusting relationships with clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; active listening skills; and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to understand technical details of various programs and explain key elements to partners
  • Comfortable with complex and intangible concepts that are not yet fully formed
  • Ability to be flexible and dynamic in many situations where expectations rapidly change as well as build relationships with higher levels of the organization to drive results
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, with the proven ability to manage numerous projects on tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across the organization to influence results
  • High degree of initiative and keen sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with various desktop software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • CRM experience preferred (i.e. MS Dynamics, or SalesForce.com
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
