Overview:

The Principal Enterprise Application Engineer role is specializing in D365 Finance and Operations (F&O), would outline responsibilities for designing, developing, and maintaining complex ERP solutions. This role would involve strong technical skills in D365 F&O customization, integration, and data management, along with business analysis, and the ability to lead and mentor teams. The Principal Engineer would play key role as a technical expert, translating business needs into functional and technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.This job demands advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and superior communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of global stakeholders and partners.  

Responsibilities:

Skills:

 

  • Extensive experience with D365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain Management, etc.), customization, and integration. 
  • Ability to write custom code, develop extensions, and integrate with other systems. 
  • Familiarity with data migration tools, data entities, and data validation processes. 
  • Knowledge of solution architecture, data modeling, and security best practices. 
  • Experience with Azure services, APIs, and connectors for integrating D365 F&O with other cloud platforms. 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for automating builds, releases, and deployments. 
  • Ability to work with stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Experience leading development teams, mentoring junior developers, and fostering a collaborative environment. 
  • Ability to analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions. 
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
     
    Responsibilities:
     
  • Design and Develop D365 F&O Solutions: This includes customizing out-of-the-box functionality, developing custom code (X++), and creating integrations with other systems. 
  • Data Management and Migration: Oversee data migration processes, ensure data integrity, and develop data validation strategies. 
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improved efficiency and scalability. 
  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Lead development teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. 
  • Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Integration and System Architecture: Design and implement integrations with other enterprise systems, using Azure services, APIs, and connectors. 
  • Solution Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for configurations and processes. 
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct system testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure the quality of developed solution. 
     
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certifications (preferred). 

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $157,030.00 to $212,000.00

Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only: $125,100.00 to $168,900.00
