Overview:

As a Senior Staff Program Manager, you will lead strategic initiatives across our Developer Productivity and Infrastructure Services organization. This role is pivotal in driving programs that improve engineering efficiency, system observability, and the robustness of internal platforms and tools.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Security, and Infrastructure to ensure that our developer experience and internal platforms scale effectively. You will be responsible for driving clarity, alignment, and timely execution across complex, multi-team programs in a fast-paced fintech environment resulting in intended outcomes.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of large-scale technical programs focused on Developer Productivity and Infrastructure Services.
  • Partner with Engineering leaders to define and maintain roadmaps for strategic areas such as:
    • Developer productivity tooling
    • Observability and metrics platforms
    • Common engineering services (e.g., Internal development portal, file transfer solutions)
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to define program scope, outcomes, technical requirements, and success metrics/criteria.
  • Lead program governance, including risk management, cross-team dependencies, and resolution of issues.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
  • Use data and metrics to evaluate progress, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior TPMs and contribute to scaling program management best practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

 

  • Product Delivery Impact: Oversees large-scale initiatives spanning product lines, driving outcomes and aligning solutions. Excellent risk management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Operational Excellence: Drives operational improvements across product lines, advocating scalable processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Fosters collaboration across teams and product lines, managing dependencies. Ensures clear roles and responsibilities across product areas and product lines.
  • Communication: Communicates across product lines with concise, outcome-driven narratives. Ability to create effective artifacts and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Technical Acumen and Domain Expertise: Partners with engineering leaders to align on architectural considerations. Guides roadmap discussions in multiple product areas.
  • Decision Making: Guides complex decisions across teams and resolves systemic blockers. 
  • Leadership and Influence: Inspires teams, shaping a collaborative and outcome-driven culture.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proactively identifies strategic opportunities and risks for alignment.
  • Coaching and Mentorship: Coaches across teams; promotes a culture of learning
  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, preferably in high-growth fintech or enterprise-scale environments.
  • Proven track record leading large, cross-functional engineering programs focused on developer platforms, infrastructure, or internal tooling.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and tooling (e.g., Jira, Rally).
  • Deep technical acumen and the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency with program management tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, SharePoint).

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $157,030.00 to $212,000.00

Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only: $125,100.00 to $168,900.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2025, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
