Overview:

Blackhawk Network is hiring a Content Marketing Manager, Employee Engagement and Loyalty for a role with a background driving action with great storytelling and experiences in incentive programs and employee rewards leveraging financial services or technology. As a payments company that helps people and brands connect through gift cards, prepaid cards and electronic transfers, our marketing efforts are primarily B2B, but we always try to remember the human. Talk like a human, write like a human, and understand that people are people—even when they’re at the office.

This position is a Hybrid role (2 days/week) out of our Coppell, TX office.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a writer. You will be expected to write content in all different lengths and formats, from blogs to whitepapers, with a conversational, engaging voice.
  • Be a storyteller. Understand how our human resources leaders buy, what problems they are trying to solve, and what their goals are. Tell them a story about how we can help them be heroes and stand out at work.
  • Be a researcher. Be comfortable developing content for leaders in human resources on employee engagement and loyalty with research. Find secondary sources. Write international surveys on customer attitudes and be eager to read the results. Use data to challenge your assumptions.
  • Be a strategist. Contribute inspired ideas to help product managers connect with new audiences in new ways across any medium. Don’t just write a case study, understand the broader business goals that make a case study the best possible thing to write. (And then: write the case study.)
  • Be performance driven. This role is responsible for the performance of content and optimizing engagement by researching topics.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of B2B content writing experience serving employee engagement, loyalty or financial services professionals
  • Portfolio of clear, engaging content, including blogs, case studies, web copy, whitepapers, eBooks, infographics, how-to guides, ads, video scripts, podcast scripts, etc.
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Experience writing to an in-house style guide—experience with AP Style would be ideal
  • Experience receiving and navigating feedback from colleagues and from legal and branding approvers
  • Opportunity to work in our offices in Pleasanton, CA or Dallas, TX

Benefits:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays throughout the year, sick pay accrual according to state law, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and paid time off for all full-time employees.
