Overview:

Product Operations Lead 

We are a dynamic, market-leading fintech company seeking a strategic and experienced Product Operations Lead to establish and scale our product operations function. In this key role, you will empower our product teams to deliver exceptional value, accelerate adoption of the product operating model, and leverage AI to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. 

This is a senior individual contributor role, reporting to the VP, Product & Tech Strategy and Operations. You will work closely with the CPTO, product and engineering teams, and cross-functional leaders to evolve how we discover, deliver, and scale tech-powered products.

Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities 

    Build & Scale Product Operations 

    • Define and implement lightweight, scalable operational frameworks that enable outcome-driven, high-velocity product teams. 
    • Drive alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure clarity, transparency, and execution efficiency. 

    Establish AI-Driven Product Operations 

    • Develop and lead the strategy for integrating AI into product operations to automate, optimize, and scale core processes. 
    • Stay ahead of emerging AI trends, implementing AI-powered tools for decision-making, customer insights, and operational efficiency. 
    • Enable teams with AI-enhanced discovery and prioritization frameworks to synthesize customer insights, uncover market trends, and improve strategic decision-making. 

    Build & Scale Customer Insights & Discovery Infrastructure 

    • Establish a systematic, scalable approach for continuous customer discovery, ensuring teams can efficiently gather and act on insights. 
    • Define and implement tools—leveraging AI where appropriate—to analyze qualitative and quantitative customer feedback from multiple channels (e.g., support tickets, surveys, interviews, app reviews). 
    • Create and maintain a centralized customer insights repository to capture learnings and reduce redundant research efforts. 
    • Standardize rapid experimentation and hypothesis validation frameworks to help teams iterate effectively based on real customer feedback. 

    Champion the Product Operating Model & AI Evolution 

    • Lead the adoption of AI-driven tools and methodologies that accelerate our shift to the product operating model. 
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that remove friction in product development, enhance collaboration, and improve execution speed. 
    • Partner with leadership to operationalize product strategy, ensuring roadmaps, prioritization, and execution are outcome-driven. 

    Enable Continuous Learning & Team Development 

    • Establish an AI-powered learning and knowledge-sharing system to upskill product teams, reduce inefficiencies, and accelerate innovation. 
    • Champion best-in-class product development practices that enhance problem discovery, solution discovery, and delivery effectiveness. 
    • Drive Change & Scale Best Practices 
    • Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of the product operating model and AI-enhanced workflows. 
    • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration across product management, engineering, design, marketing, and business functions. 
    • Optimize and streamline operational practices to increase innovation, impact, and speed. 

Qualifications:

  • What You Bring 

    • 15+ years of experience in product leadership roles within technology-native companies at scale. Experience in regulated industries is strongly preferred. 
    • Proven track record in building, scaling, and optimizing product operations functions to drive innovation and business impact. 
    • Deep expertise in product discovery, delivery, and operational best practices, with a passion for enabling high-performance product teams. 
    • Strong experience in leveraging AI to enhance product operations, decision-making, and efficiency. 
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution and align initiatives with broader business goals. 
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complexity and drive actionable insights. 
    • Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across geographies and disciplines. 
    • A proven change agent, experienced in leading change management initiatives and scaling best practices across complex environments. 
    • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. 

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $184,0600 to $248,500.00

Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only: $146,290.00 to $197,500.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2025, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
