This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for within the States of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a “Hybrid” employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.

Overview:

The Settlement Operations Analyst II will be responsible for ensuring that technical and platform needs are met with in the aggregated content.  This person will work closely with various Business stakeholders to understand constraints, requirements, and prioritization, and will partner with IT on the grooming and the implementation of those requirements.  Ability to effectively organize workload to move multiple projects forward at the same time while keeping communication open cross functionally will be critical for success.  This position will report to the Manager of Settlement Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs balancing of the issuing application and applications which interface to it
  • Performs daily funding reconciliations for the transactional activity to support our third party partners including sponsor bank balancing
  • Refers and resolves outstanding funding account items to be cleared within department standards
  • UAT participation and validation for new projects
  • Performs quality control reviews on completed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform monitoring and validation within the platforms to ensure processing was timely and complete; manage exceptions start to finish with responsible parties
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis on current recons with business reported issues
  • Manage reconciliation issues internally and externally to insure timely resolution
  • Communicate internally and externally in order to resolve issues
  • Reports statistical information on monthly transaction volumes
  • Evaluates existing operating procedures and recommends modifications to improve quality, controls and efficiency
  • Maintains adequate documentation of processes, procedures and internal controls
  • Data integrity management through exception processing
  • Initiate departmental process review to identify and determine areas of improvement
  • End-to-end understanding of Settlement and Accounting processes
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required
  • Effective communication skills – can communicate effectively in writing or orally with technical and non-technical team members both internally and externally
  • Patient, diplomatic and collaborative working with cross functional teams
  • Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and resourcefulness
  • Superior organization skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under rigid time constraints
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills
  • Design new processes and making recommendations for improvements on current processes
  • Should be subject matter expert in certain areas (able to lead/train others and answer questions for level 1 folks)
  • Should be proactive instead of reactive (Not waiting until manager or others ask for updates or follow up)
  • Able to lead partner facing meetings and drive stakeholders to the end result needed

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Minimum education requirement is Bachelor's degree optimally with a major in Business Administration or related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a data analyst; must have good reconciliation skills and be able to work with and manipulate large quantities of data
  • Experience performing high level data analysis; needs to have a general understanding of databases and structures and must enjoy working with data
  • Strong competency in Excel, Access, Visio
  • Resourceful and a self-starter with immense attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to understand end to end processes
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; can communicate effectively in writing or verbally with technical and non-technical team members
  • Patient, diplomatic, and collaborative

 

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $57,530.00 to $74,800.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $70,760.00 to $92,000.00
