Overview:

 

The Financial Analyst will support the financial planning and analysis functions of Blackhawk Network, a leading fintech company. This role will provide critical financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance and decision-making. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Finance Systems team. Your work will include reporting, business partnership, supporting financial forecasting and planning, implementing and improving processes, and strategic business analyses.

You are highly motivated and a strong teammate/collaborator, are adept at process improvement and can think multiple steps out and implications thereof. You work well cross-functionally in a team environment as well as independently. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and project company financial performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather data, prepare financial reports, and present findings to senior management.
  • Monitor financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in budgeting and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency and growth initiatives.
  • Utilize Oracle and other financial software tools to manage and analyze financial data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, PBI, and other financial software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
