Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Management, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide primary HR support for BHN’s fulfillment center in Crystal Lake, IL.  The Senior Human Resources Generalist will work closely with people leaders by advising on employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement. This role will also help support BHN’s annual talent programs including goal setting, bi-annual listen surveys, performance review cycles, and salary planning. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be self-driven, well-organized, and results oriented.  A proven track record of working in a customer-centric culture by interacting with all levels of employees including senior level stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with people leaders and employees at BHN’s Crystal Lake, IL fulfillment center.
  • Coach and advise people leaders to ensure their recommendations are in line with best practice.
  • Manage employee relations issues aligning to company beliefs, policies, and processes.
  • Leverage BHN internal tools and technology to drive efficiency.
  • Primary administrator for Navex – ER tool
  • Take on various assignments and special projects as needed and in support of the broader HR organization’s corporate initiatives

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $81,660.00 to $110,250.00

Requirements (E):

  • Strong knowledge of US labor laws and employment practices, including FMLA and COBRA.
  • 5+ years’ experience in handling employee relations issues ranging from simple to complex. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive and collaborative relationships at all levels.
  • Good organizational skills with an ability to manage own workload and priorities to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality work with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team and with a flexible approach to adapt to changing work requirements.
