Overview:

Position Overview 

Blackhawk Network is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to manage scrum priorities and drive the growth of our e-commerce SaaS platform. This role will require a deep understanding of the gift card industry and a strong background in data and payments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product solutions.  

Background 

In 2017, Blackhawk acquired CashStar, Inc., a leading provider of gift card commerce solutions at the forefront of mobile payments and digital gifting innovation for the first party gift card market. CashStar's commerce platform enables retailers to market, sell and distribute digital and plastic gift cards in the first-party digital card business, which is directly to consumers and businesses across a wide range of channels. With CashStar's flexible platform, merchants can use digital and physical gift cards to engage consumers throughout the customer lifecycle, including marketing and promotions, sales and customer service. This role would be to lead the Cash Star platform and further drive growth in the areas of mobile innovation, digital and embedded solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Defining the roadmap for your products, including objectives and goals, in collaboration with stakeholders within a modern development environment.  
  • Lead the product development process, prioritize backlogs using product management tools, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features. 
  • Delivering product strategy and thought leadership around a variety of topics that are top-of-mind for our clients including ecommerce trends, funnel analytics, user experience, buy flow optimization, alternative payment, and global reach expansion.  
  • Benchmarking functionality and performance of your products against our competitors and the broader e-commerce industry.  
  • Innovate and enhance our offerings in the digital gift card space, staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs.  
  • Leverage data insights for informed decision-making, manage payment integrations, and ensure compliance with payment standards 
  • Work with cross functional product owners to create effective business requirements to articulate work to be done by the engineering teams; perform testing of product features with engineers to ensure acceptance criteria is met, capture bugs and work towards defect resolution.  
  • Partner closely with software engineering to ensure delivery of products map to customer experience and business requirements within needed timelines 
  • Establishing metrics and measurements for the product and reporting on value delivered, ROI, etc.  
  • Support RFP/RFI responses for new business and expansion opportunities. 
  • Develop and measure progress against customer value and platform performance metrics.  
  • Collaborate with marketing to assist with go to market product marketing package.  
  • Develop strong relationship and ROI metrics with sales, account management, and implementation teams. 
  • Leverage data insights for informed decision-making, manage payment integrations, and ensure compliance with payment standards. 
  • Drive innovation initiatives in areas of mobile innovation, embedded solutions and digital services. 

 

Qualifications:

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in e-commerce, SaaS, Payments or Gift Card platforms 
  • Strong background in data analysis and payment systems.  
  • Proven experience managing scrum teams and agile methodologies.  
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. In-depth knowledge of the gift card industry and market dynamic preferred.  
  • Having a customer-centric view into developing great product experiences and a proven ability to work well collaboratively, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. A curious attitude and desire to learn. Demonstrated ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data and derive meaningful implications and recommendations from said data.  
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment  

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $133,920.00 to $180,800.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2024, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
