We are looking to hire an accomplished Staff Software Engineer to join the Blackhawk Technology Engineering Organization and contribute to the engineering team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the API platform. The desired candidate would have an excellent understanding of API technologies to deliver highly available solutions with high transaction volumes.

• Develop cutting-edge software and modify existing software to add features
• Proactively monitor the adherence of the implementation to the chosen architecture during all iterations
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture specifications
• Ensure design and code reviews, analysis of code components and code coverage of Unit test cases
• Drive end-to-end quality with effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing
• Define/refine metrics used to assess application performance, utilization, and scalability
• Contribute to the execution of performance analysis and capacity planning activities

• 5+ years of software development experience with full application stacks.
• 5+ years of experience in Java / JEE technologies and leading teams of software Developers
• Expert at Java jdk 1.6 or above and accomplished at multithreading.
• Good knowledge in service-oriented architecture and REST service knowledge.
• Good experience and solid knowledge of OO Design & design patterns.
• Experience with open source frameworks such as Spring.
• Strong understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures.
• Experience reviewing code, mentoring team members, and driving great development practices.
• Familiarity with build, deploy & continuous integration tools (i.e. maven, Jenkins, Gradle, GIT etc.)
• Good experience with Java Unit Testing Frameworks and Tools such as JUnit, Mockito etc.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good verbal and written skills
• Good attitude & team player is a must.
